Primary Functions

  • The Technical Account Manager will follow up on sales leads and identify new contacts in existing accounts to achieve growth goals
  • Manage the overall customer relationship and be responsible to deepen customer relationships in purchasing, engineering, and other relevant customer functions
  • Negotiate and implement pricing and generate quotes for customer projects using internal quoting tools
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer‘s issue; determining the root cause; selecting and explaining the best solution; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Prepares Sales Reports (revenue forecasts, product forecasts) by collecting and analyzing customer information
  • Travel to client locations and present CSM products and project-specific solutions to customers and their management
  • Act as a liaison, if necessary, between Accounts Receivable personnel and the client’s company in the event of payment discrepancies
  • Relay ideas for new or modified products to Product Management
  • The Technical Account Manager will be seen as a Subject Matter Expert in their field and can guide andeducate others about the benefits of CSM

Qualifications

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to connect with others over the telephone, email, and social media
  • Ability to understand and retain product knowledge
  • Successfully interact with the technical and non-technical contacts throughout the customers’ organizations
  • Extremely responsive, highly accountable, and solution focused when interacting with customers and staff
  • Must have demonstratable proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Must be persistent, able to be successful with limited supervision, have self-confidence, organizational skills, and be highly creative
  • 4-year Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or related technical work experience with a 4-yeardegree

Preferences

  • Experience either calling on or working within Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
  • Experience with a wide variety of sensors and measurement techniques
  • Familiarity with ECU and automotive engineering practices
  • Technical writing experience
  • Experience with Vector CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer; ETAS INCA; ATI Vision or other data collection software is desirable
  • Passionate and knowledgeable in alternative fuel systems such as batteries, fuel cells, hybrids, etc.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Data Acquisition, Embedded Software, Calibration, or Controls Developmentdesired
  • Knowledge of Controller Area Networks, XCP on Ethernet, and/or EtherCAT is a plus
  • Knowledge of XCP-on-Ethernet and/or EtherCAT® is a plus
