The new HV BM Split modules allow measurements to be made in HV power cables and busbars running in confined spaces.
The HV BM Split Modules use the proven technology of the HV Breakout Modules for precise and safe measurements directly in HV power cables and busbars.
To simplify flexible installation at different measurement points, the main components of the HV Breakout Modules have been separated into 3 units:
The sensor modules are each connected to the measurement module with shielded, HV-safe sensor cables.
Current measurement is performed with the proven shunt modules of the HV Breakout Modules. The shunt modules are either installed in safely encapsulated housings or also available as encapsulated individual modules. The shunt module consists of measurement shunt, temperature sensor for automatic temperature compensation and the measurement electronics. This technology and the measurements directly in the HV cables and busbars allow precise measurement results, as the influences of external fields are minimized: Pseudo signals, hysteresis effects, system-related noise, characteristic shift or offset errors are avoided.
The voltage is tapped via sensor modules or suitable sensor cables and the voltage is measured directly in the measurement module.
The measurement data is output with up to 1 MHz data rate per channel via EtherCAT® and simultaneously also via CAN bus.
