CAN Power Control MiniModules

A CAN-based Power Control MiniModule (PCMM) serves as the power distribution center for measurement setups with multiple modules and high channel counts.

The PCMM enables the user to control the power (on/off) to all measurement modules, data loggers and other external devices in the test set-up. In addition, it compensates for any voltage fluctuations and dips going below the minimum operating voltage of 5 V DC, which can occur during engine start. The PCMM features a range of configurable switching inputs, such as terminal 15 (ignition), switching voltage from the data logger as well as an external switching voltage.

CAN OUT MiniModules

The OUT MiniModule is a signal output module which generates both analog variables and digital signals. The OUT MiniModule (OUTMM) provides configurable output signals in accordance with a value that has been pre-defined by CAN bus messages. Typical use cases for an OUTMM are test benches with analog display units and actuators, as well as the simulation of parameters in early development stages (HIL testing).

Measurement of Analog Voltage from Sensors

Numerous measurement variables in vehicle development and testing can be recorded with sensors that reproduce their respective measured variable as an analog voltage. For example, distance, pressure, flow rates, moisture, vibration and noise can be easily measured.
